A specialist rail organisation based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Software Architect to join a rapidly expanding engineering team with ambitious growth plans in the UK and internationally.

As an Embedded Software Architect you’ll lead the architectural design, specification and development of complex firmware for innovative railway solutions ensuring these meet high reliability and safety standards. You’ll work in many areas of the engineering lifecycle with the opportunity to demonstrate your capability in many new and exciting projects.

As an Embedded Software Architect you must have experience in the following:

• You must have proven ability in designing program architecture including: overall structures, development strategy, test and verification strategy, individual code modules, data flow and implementing development and test systems.
• You must have significant commercial experience with embedded C/C++.
• You must have demonstratable experience building firmware from concept UML through to verification.
• You must also have experience with coding standards e.g. EN50128 & MISRA-C.
