An Embedded Software Test Engineer is required to join a growing team within the medical device industry which is continuing to provide innovative world first products. This organisation is going from strength to strength having recently been awarded FDA approval, drastically upscaling their manufacturing capacity and being awarded contracts worldwide. With rapid expansion comes exciting challenges and this role is at the heart of these initiatives.

As an Embedded Software Test Engineer you’ll design, execute and document testing activities to cover the specific areas of the software system. You’ll maintain and evolve the testing infrastructure and tools in line with plans. You’ll support the rapid evolution of anomalies in conjunction with other team members.

To be successful in the role of Embedded Software Test Engineer you must have experience of the following:

• Previous hands on experience testing complex, real-time software to control electronic/mechanical systems.
• You must have experience with VectorCast or TestComplete toolsets.
• You must have experience of programming languages such a C/C++ (C# Desirable)
• You must also have an understanding of Real-Time Operating Systems (e.g VxWorks, RTOS)
• Experience working to IEC 62304 would be highly desirable along with DO178 or ISO 26262.
